In second place is Warsaw, with an average taxi fare of Β£0.60 (€0.69) per kilometre. The city area of the capital of Poland is around 200 square miles, making taxis a vital part of your transportation. Depending on the time of year, it can also get quite cold – another reason why taxis are a sensible choice.

Completing our top three is Lisbon, with an average taxi fare of Β£0.61 (€0.70) per kilometre. Regarding area, Lisbon is the smallest city in our top three at just under 40 square miles.
