Must read

The NFL is back in London this month as some of the league’s superstars prepare to lock horns at Wembley Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Following the Jacksonville Jaguars defeating the Atlanta Falcons 23-7 at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, two more games are scheduled to take place at the home of Tottenham over the next 10 days.

This Sunday (October 8), the Jaguars will play Buffalo Bills before the Baltimore Ravens take on Tennessee Titans a week later on Sunday, October 15.

Tickets for this weekend’s game are still available on various ticket sales websites. However, should fans fail to purchase last-minute tickets they will be able to watch this Sunday’s game on ITV 1, with coverage starting at 1:55pm. On the 15th, Sky Sports will show the Ravens taking on the Titans live on their dedicated Sky Sports NFL channel.

Anticipation is building for this year’s international games following confirmation that Germany will also host two matches, with the Miami Dolphins playing the Kansas City Chiefs on November 5 and then the Indianapolis Colts playing the New England Patriots a week later both at Frankfurt Stadium.

The NFL has held competitive games in England’s capital since 2007, when the Miami Dolphins played the New York Giants at Wembley Stadium. NFL teams playing in Europe dates back to the 1980s, when pre-season games were played abroad with an ‘American Bowl’ game played in 1983 in London.
