Manchester United and Manchester City are set to be given the go-ahead by Uefa to compete in the same European competitions as their sister clubs in the coming season.
United and Nice, the French club owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s company Ineos, have both qualified for the Europa League, while City are in the Champions League along with the Spanish side Girona.
Uefa’s Club Financial Control Board (CFCB) is due to issue a ruling on multi-club ownership issues on Monday for the two Manchester clubs and others involved in European competition.
