The finalists in 21 categories at this year’s Business Travel Awards Europe have been named following comprehensive assessment of all entries by a panel of independent judges.
Organised by the BTN Group and known as ‘the Oscars of the industry’, the renowned annual event recognises industry leadership, partnership and innovation.
Entries were received from organisations across Europe and from all corners of the industry. The independent panel of judges – featuring 29 travel managers and independent consultants – were impressed by the quality of entries and will reconvene later this summer to select the winners in each category after assessing further supporting evidence from the finalists.
Travel management companies Agiito and Navan have both been named finalists in four categories, as has Thrust Carbon, while Gray Dawes Travel is a finalist in three categories.
Other suppliers to have been named finalists in multiple categories include Delta Air Lines, IHG Hotels & Resorts, SilverDoor Apartments, TravelPerk and Virgin Atlantic.
Finalists in the Travel Buyer of the Year category are Grégoire Henry, chief of travel, accommodation and conferences, UEFA, Janine Whitehouse, business travel consultant, Legal and General, and Nikki Rogan, global travel director, Fujitsu.
And competing in the Travel Team of the Year category are Advance Global Recruitment & Corporate Traveller, Atkins & Agiito, BBC & Access Bookings, the Global Shell Corporate Travel Team, and Unilever & Navan.
There is no Achievement in Sustainability category at this year’s awards following the launch of the BTN Group’s dedicated Business Travel Sustainability Awards Europe. The winners of the ten categories at the inaugural awards were announced at the third annual Business Travel Sustainability Summit Europe in London in May.
