A European heatwave is to hit in just days with Coventry set to be amongst the UK’s hottest. The heat, which will hit 34C in some parts of Europe, is set to bring warm temperatures to our shores on Sunday, June 16,
A new weather map, from WX Charts, shows that the Midlands, which includes Coventry and Warwickshire, will bask in 22C temperatures, reports the Mirror. It will be a far cry from the rain showers we have seen so far this week.
The latest local Met Office forecast for our area shows that these showers are set to continue into the weekend. It will also feel colder at night.

The forecast shows that there will be ‘chilly’ nights, even when temperatures slowly start to creep up to normal for this time of year on Saturday and Sunday. The forecast is as follows:
Today
A chilly start, then a mostly dry day with plenty of sunny spells. A few light showers are possible in the north, spreading southwards during the afternoon. A fresh northwesterly breeze making it feel cooler than recent days. Maximum temperature 15C.
Tonight
Showers easing through the evening leaving a dry and clear night for most places. Light winds allowing it to turn chilly in sheltered rural spots. Minimum temperature 7C.
Thursday
Another dry and bright start, but turning cloudier through the morning. Showers possible in the north and west, moving eastwards through the afternoon. Feeling slightly warmer than today. Maximum temperature 17C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday
Outbreaks of showery rain sinking southwards on Friday. Patchy cloud with sunny spells and isolated showers on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures near normal, with some notably chilly nights.
