National Award-winning Tamil filmmaker Vetri Maaran’s Viduthalai: Part 1 is gearing up for a huge release in the days ahead and will see comedy actor Soori making his debut in the lead role, while ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi is appearing in an extended cameo and features music composed by ‘Isaignani’ Ilaiyaraaja. Produced under Elred Kumar’s RS Infotainment banner, the upcoming film is Vetri Maaran’s first big theatrical release after his 2019 blockbuster, Asuran, and expectations are huge among fans for him to deliver yet another riveting action drama. With the film’s trailer now out and receiving a fantastic response, it has now been announced that Viduthalai: Part 1 will be released across the United Kingdom & Europe by the reputed distribution-production banner Ahimsa Entertainment.

The massive UK & Europe release announcement for Viduthalai made on Thursday, March 9, comes at a time when Ahimsa Entertainment is on cloud nine after tasting a massive success by distributing ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Varisu, which ended up becoming the second-highest grossing film in the UK behind Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: 1. The distribution-production house has also entered into film production with the black comedy Soppana Sundari starring Aishwarya Rajesh, which as well is getting ready for its theatrical release. Ahimsa Entertainment will be looking to hit the bullseye once again after Varisu and this time with Viduthalai as fans are now waiting for the film’s release date to be announced. Viduthalai is a two-parter and the second film is still said to be in the post-production stages. Apart from Soori and Vijay Sethupathi, the film also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Tamizh, Chethan, Bhavani Sri among others and is being released across Tamil Nadu by Red Giant Movies.
