What are the best attractions in Stockholm?
There is so much to see and do in Sweden. Its Old Town is called Gamla Stan and here tourists can find many cafés, restaurants, souvenir shops, studios, galleries and museums.
While there, it’s also worth heading to the area’s public square, Stortorget, to soak up more of what the city has to offer. For another view of the Old Town, you can venture to Norr Mälarstrand.
According to Time Out, this street is a good spot to watch the sun set. They said: “The best spot to do this would be Norr Mälarstrand, a leafy trail that provides views of the Old Town and its characterful spires. If you are lucky, you might glimpse the Northern Lights.”
One of the biggest tourist attractions in the city is ABBA The Museum, which captures the history and journey of one of Sweden’s most popular exports, ABBA. Inside, you can make your way through interactive exhibits and it is definitely a must visit for manty.
Another way to get acquainted with the Swedish capital is on a city tour. Liverpool John Lennon Airport reccomends the Oceanbus, which allows you to experience Stockholm from both land and water on an amphibious bus.
While visiting Stockholm, you can also go to the world’s first open-air museum, Skansen, which explores five centuries of Swedish history. Other notable places to visit are one of Stockholm’s islands, Djurgården, as well as the Royal Palace, The Östermalm Market Hall and more.
