Scotland are back in action as we enter the second round of group stage matches at Euro 2024.

Having been battered 5-1 by Germany in the opening game of the tournament last Friday, the Scots need a response when they face Switzerland. Wednesday’s opponents got off to a much better start in Group A, beating Hungary 3-1 in Cologne.

That’s where Scotland’s game will be played after Germany take on Hungary earlier in the day. That follows a crucial game in Group B, as Croatia look to recover from their bruising 3-0 loss to Spain on Saturday when they play underdogs Albania.

Luka Modric and co find will view the game as a must-win, especially being in the group of death. A high-scoring victory against Albania would put them in the mix to qualify as at least one of the four best third-placed teams, but that’s just what Albania will be hoping for after their narrow 2-1 defeat to Italy.

Most of the UK’s eyes will, of course, be on how Scotland fare, as boss Steve Clarke is demanding a reaction to their Deutschland demolition. “I think if we show we are a good team and play as we can play we can get a result in the Swiss game that takes us to the last game. That’s what we have to do,” Clarke said.

“Of course we are disappointed. Of course we want to put it right. But we have a strong dressing room, big personalities. We have to show those big personalities on Wednesday night.”

Here’s how to watch Wednesday’s three matches in the UK.

Wednesday’s Euro 2024 fixtures

  • Croatia vs Albania – 2pm, Hamburg
  • Germany vs Hungary – 5pm, Stuttgart
  • Scotland vs Swtizerland – 8pm, Cologne
