‘El Capitano. Right, today we know they’re better than us.’ Richards said.

‘But it doesn’t matter! It’s all about what you’ve got inside. I want you to look at the person to your left, now to the right.

‘This is the spirit. It’s all about trust, togetherness, and leadership.’

Former Manchester City star Izzy Christiansen joined Richards on the BBC side and implored her teammates to step up to the occasion.

‘There’s a lot of history in Berlin,’ she said. ‘But we f****** create our own.’

Another clip showed former Lionesses star Scott preparing to take a spot kick for team ITV.

As she prepared to strike from the penalty spot, Gary Neville could be heard instructing Richards to remain on his line.

Richards did well to get down to his right to deny Scott, but Keane was on hand to slide home the rebound.

The ex-Manchester United captain also didn’t hesitate to give Neville a dressing down after he failed to stop a BBC player from scoring.

‘Nev! f****** get tighter!’ Keane said. ‘You show him the line you’ve got to stop the shot.’
