Benelli 902S – 904cc naked model unveiled in China – Europe included?

Must read

Benelli has just unveiled the new 902S in China, a model that promises to add value to the growing segment of medium-high displacement motorcycles. This launch reinforces Benelli’s intention to expand its portfolio with motorcycles that meet the demands of both adventurous riders and style and performance enthusiasts.

Beneath the surface, the Benelli 902S has a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 904 cc twin-cylinder engine with a power output of 106.4 hp. That’s a lot more than the 75 horsepower of the 752S and will certainly please performance-oriented road riders looking for a robust naked bike.

Like most of Benelli’s other performance-focused offerings, the 902S has some premium components, such as a Brembo brake system and adjustable suspension from Marzocchi. Benelli has also somehow managed to reduce the weight of the 902S compared to its predecessor, with the muscular naked bike weighing 220 kilograms. And although it’s by no means a featherweight, it’s still 13 kilos lighter than its predecessor.

New models like the Benelli 902S are proof that Chinese brands are taking the global motorcycle market much more seriously than ever before. If, in the past, their sole aim was to make motorcycles cheap and accessible to the masses, it’s clear that this has changed.

Manufacturers such as Benelli, QJ Motor and Loncin clearly have performance and technology as their priority and, thanks to the large volume of bikes they produce in their factories, they are able to offer much more affordable prices than their counterparts in the USA, Europe and Japan.Benelli 902S – 904cc naked model unveiled in China – Europe included?
