As Paris Fashion Week storms on, showgoers’ own beauty choices have been as bold and splashy as those seen on the runways.
In London, dainty, pearl hair appliqués could be spotted atop slicked-back buns, in accordance with the hair accessory trend that saw action at New York Fashion Week, namely at Christian Siriano and Alice + Olivia.
Intricate braided hairstyles, too, entered the chat, while slicked-down swoop bangs made an appearance among Paris showgoers. In terms of makeup, rich black lipstick and lip liner looks were standouts, in many cases contrasting with bleach-blonde eyebrows for an edgy, Gothic-glam look.
Black eyeliner also took center stage — in some cases in the form of precise, elongated wings and others a smudgy, ‘90s grunge-inspired application. In Milan, “It” girl Gabriette — a longtime muse of makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench — encapsulated the look with her high-contrast black and pink lip combination and heavily drawn-on black eyeliner.
One Paris showgoer took false eyelashes to new heights, gluing a set just above the apples of her cheeks in addition to those worn on her upper lash line, for a more theatrical look.
Even the hyper-feminine, TikTok-loved balletcore trend received the Goth treatment, with one London Fashion Week attendee donning black hair bows rather than the traditional pink-colored accents.
Bleached hair, meanwhile, didn’t stop at the eyebrows: one bleached buzz cut in London was stamped with red apples, simultaneously playing into social media’s hair-painting trend as well as the gourmand-inspired beauty look trend (you’ve heard of “strawberry girl makeup” — apples would be a logical next contender).
While dark and sultry looks overall reigned supreme, when color was involved it was most often red — from Alexa Chung’s red-orange pout to eye-popping red eye shadow to red hair — which was everywhere.
Here, a look at the best beauty street-style looks of Paris, Milan and London fashion weeks.
