Murder, drug trafficking and sexual exploitation of children are just some of the crimes of those on Europe’s most wanted list.
From a man, known as ‘Chubby Jos’ wanted for the illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances to a dad who shot his own son in the head with a gun, the list carries some of the most dangerous criminals known to police.
Despite TV appeals and frequent re-appeals for information the men and women on the list are still at large and many pose a real threat to society.

Here the Liverpool ECHO takes a look at some of the most dangerous among the list and what they did to deserve a space on Europe’s Most Wanted list.
Joseph (Jos) Johannes Leijdekkers (Chubby Jos)
Wanted by: Netherlands
CRIME: Drug trafficking and money laundering
After the photos had been shown on TV on 3 May 2022, the police received a dozen tips about Jos Leijdekkers. These tips made clear that Leijdekkers’ appearance had changed and a new composite sketch was needed. The police also received new photos of Jos Leijdekkers.
Leijdekkers, also known as ‘Bolle Jos’ (chubby Jos), has no fixed address in the Netherlands. It is believed that he has not lived in the Netherlands for quite some time now. Until recently, he was thought to be living in Turkey, but the investigation has not yet revealed his whereabouts. A 200,000 euro reward is offered for the decisive tip leading to Leijdekkers’ arrest. The reward will be paid out several days after his arrest.
Large-scale drugs trafficking and money laundering
Jos Leijdekkers is considered to be one of the key players in international cocaine trafficking. He is also suspected of large-scale laundering of the criminal proceeds of drugs trafficking.
Excessive violence
Leijdekkers is also believed to be involved in very serious cases of excessive violence, including the disappearance and death of Naima Jillal. Jillal went missing on 20 October 2019 after she got into a car in Amsterdam.
Farid Vaziri
Wanted by: Sweden
CRIME: Murder, grievous bodily injury
Vaziri is wanted for a murder and grand crime against the peace of the tomb, comitted in Stockholm Sweden in March 2024. He is 23-years-old and described as around 6ft, with brown eyes of Afghan nationality and of Asian origin.
Marco Ebben
Wanted by: Netherlands
CRIME: Illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances
Marco Ebben was sentenced on October 2 2020 for a prison sentence of 7 years and 4 months.
He was involved in a drug smuggling from Brazil to the Netherlands. In the period 2014 – 2015 Marco Ebben, together with co-suspects, smuggled a total of 400 kilograms of cocaine into the Netherlands. The containers were filled with pineapples to hide the cocaine
He is 32 and is described as around 6ft 2in and has a number of tattoos.
Ramon Camara Guisado
Wanted by: Spain
CRIME: Murder, grievous bodily injury
In May 2003 the fugitive RAMON DE LA CAMARA GUISADO was in a pub known as ”Gotik” in Sabadell (Barcelona) with his son DAVID DE LA CAMARA BLANCO, 22 years old.
Suddenly Ramon pointed at his son with a 9mm handgun and shot him in the back of his head, causing him to die instantly.
He is 71-years-old and described as 5ft, with brown eyes and of Spanish nationality. He is described as a dangerous offender.
Tania Gomez
Wanted by: Sweden
CRIME: Illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances
Gomez is wanted for severe drug related crimes and severe money laundering. Gomez has been wanted since March 2021. She is connected to an OCG in Stockholm and her role in the OCG has been to deliver and transport large quantites of narcotics and money. She has also been involved in business regarding stray animal and probably involved in an network of irregular animal ownership and their transport abroad.
She is 31-years-old and is described as having brown eyes and can speak Spanish and Swedish. She is also around 5ft 2 in height.
Hamid Ibrahim
Wanted by: Malta
CRIME: Murder, grievous bodily injury
Victim was found murdered in her bedroom of her apartment in St Paul’s Bay on the March 11, 2015. The investigation proved that the victim was murdered inside the same apartment by her former partner Hamid Nour Eddine G Ibrahim. The autopsy proved that victim died of a total of five (5) stab wounds, on the same day her body was discovered.
Ibrahim absconded the Maltese Islands on March 11, 2015, couple of hours before the corpse was discovered. It was confirmed that he took a flight Italy, but reliable sources informed the Maltese Police that a month later he was seen in Dublin, Ireland, which is his last known whereabouts. An EAW and IAW were issued for the arrest of Ibrahim.
He is 43-years-old and is described as having arm and body tattoos and he is of Libyan nationality and known to speak Arabic and English.
Margus Nomme
Wanted by: Estonia
CRIME: Sexual exploitation of children and child pornography
Nomme is wanted for sexual offences against children in a year 2022 in Estonia. He is 28-years-old.
Josef Martin Schabel
Wanted by: Austria
CRIME: llicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances
REWARD PAYMENT: €5000
Martin Schabel is suspected of having illegally sold large quantities of narcotic drugs via Darknet on various Darknet marketplaces as the leading member of a criminal organization between March 2018 and September 2020. For this purpose, subject charged members of the criminal association to pick up, to pack and to send the narcotic drugs, that had been ordered via the darknet, to his customers by regular mail.
He has been on the run since April 2021 and is suspected to be abroad. His last known whereabouts per 12 April 2021 was in Lignano Sabbiadoro/Italy, where he stayed in an apartment in Aprilia Marittima, Latisana.
Attention: Schabel might be armed and dangerous
He is 52-years-old and is described as having tattoos on the left of his chest (praying hands), his back (man’s head) and his left lower leg (dog’s head).
Anton Zhivkov Petkovski
Wanted by: Bulgaria
CRIME: Attempted Murder
On 12 December 2001 in the Selishte village, Bulgaria, Anton Zhivkov Petkovski, in a criminal association with another Bulgarian citizen shot to death an adult male with a Scorpio machine gun. A few hours later in the outskirts of the same village Petkovski shot to death his associate with the same gun, presumably with the aim of covering his traces. He also smashed his face in order to impede his identification. For the committed homicides Petkovski was sentenced to life prison on 8 October 2012.
Cyrille Picard
Wanted by: France
CRIME: Murder, grievous bodily injury
Cyrille Picard is wanted for the murder of his daughter committed on 12th May 2022. She was 10 years old when her body was found, strangled and beaten next to the beginnings of a fire.
Picard has been on the run since that day. He was last seen in the days following the murder with his dog named Tyson on the French west coast. The fugitive is considered to be dangerous. He knows how to handle weapons and is able to live on very few resources.
He is 54-years-old and is described as being 5ft 7in, French in nationality and is known to speak Spanish.
