Platinum-selling South London collective D-Block Europe are set to play a headline show at Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
Comprising of British duo Young Adz and Dirtbike LB, they will perform at The County Ground on Saturday 29 June.
Coming off the back of recent sell-out nights at the O2 in London and Manchester Arena, the Derby show will include some of the biggest tracks from throughout D-Block Europe’s back catalogue, as well as songs from their number one album ‘Rolling Stone’.
Ryan Duckett, the cricket club’s chief executive, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming of the UK’s biggest acts to our venue, for what promises to be one of the most anticipated concerts not only in Derby, but across the region this summer.
“Over the last decade, working in partnership with a range of local, national and international promoters, we have played host to many big artists, such as Elton John, Michael Bublé, The Who and Little Mix.
“It will be fantastic to have D-Block Europe, one of the most influential acts right now, here to create another historic night for the city.”
Councillor Baggy Shanker, leader of Derby City Council, said: “The County Ground has established itself as a major events venue for the city and wider region and this promises to be another fantastic night.
“With a number one album and recent sell outs at major venues in London and Manchester it is a real coup for the venue and the city to be hosting this event and another boost for the city with the economic impact that comes with hosting these events.”
