Derby County will be looking to revamp their squad this summer as they prepare for life back in the Championship. The transfer window opens in nine days as speculation continues to mount over who the Rams will be looking to add once they are free to do business after issuing their retained list last month.
A goalkeeper, central midfielders and a two new strikers are a priority for head coach Paul Warne heading towards pre-season and the club has been linked with a number of players already. Reports touting Derby as a destination for Ebou Adams continue on the back of his loan spell from Cardiff City last season.

Herbie Kane, the midfielder released by Barnsley, has also been touted as a potential candidate as well as winger Josh Murphy. Derby have also looked in Europe to try and source new talent with Paul Warne having been watching players in Holland and Denmark.
Derby fans on Derbyshire Live have been having their say on the transfer window and what they want to see this summer.
Rammie10: “We don’t want any injury-prone players we need quality players a goalkeeper midfielder and a couple of strikers at least but don’t sign any players who are injury prone… C’mon you Rams.”
DarrinWallace0867: “As much as I’d like to see Adams in a Derby shirt, Cardiff are perfectly entitled to sort out their manager’s situation in whatever way they see fit so hardly see it as “unacceptable, “. Even when it is sorted its naive to think that will automatically pave the way for him to join us.”
Tteegan: “Six players in…it’s a must…this is the Championship….not League One.”

BoyfromBrazil: I think if we are looking to Europe Denmark and Holland, why not Portugal? They have some great Brazilian strikers in the lower first division and second division who are hungry and cheap?
“I should know I lived in Brazil and Portugal and most Brazilians who play for the big teams in Brazil if not looked at by the elite of Europe then Portuguese lower teams pick them up to put them in the window and get sell on prices. This is where I think we should be looking there are some hidden gems in Portugal just look at Portimonense in Portimao. Carlinhos and Luquinha Brazilian attacking midfielders could probably pick up for a couple of hundred thousands great creative attacking midfielders who would light up our midfield plus they have a decent Brazilian goalkeeper too, but forgot his name? Anyway, I really think Warne and the Derby recruiting team should take a look at mid to lower Portuguese teams in the first division and second division in Portugal.”
