England have undergone their final preparations ahead of travelling over the Germany for Euro 2024 including taking part in a traditional squad photo alongside boss Gareth Southgate
The England side have conducted their traditional squad photo ahead of flying over to Germany for the Euros.
All 26 members of the Three Lions squad were photographed in M&S suits – some choosing to wear black, others wearing tan efforts. Gareth Southgate was also involved having toiled over his selections for the upcoming tournament.
Prominent members of his squad including captain Harry Kane and star midfielder Jude Bellingham were pictured alongside him. Meanwhile, tournament debutees Adam Wharton, Kobbie Mainoo and Marc Guehi were all involved.
Providing a bit more information about the suits, M&S said: “Featuring 16 pieces, the limited-edition menswear collection is characterised by thoughtfully designed smart-separates that can be worn in a myriad of ways.
“Classic black is complemented by neutral and ivory separates for a considered and contemporary aesthetic, underpinned by comfort and performance components to reflect a modern football team.”
Another member of the squad involved in the photoshoot was Bukayo Saka. Fears have emerged about the Arsenal star’s fitness ahead of the opening game against Serbia on Sunday.
He missed the Gunners’ final game of the season against Everton, while his England training programme has been managed. Saka also did not start against either Bosnia & Herzegovina or Iceland after missing a number of training sessions.

The winger is hopeful of being fully fit once the tournament gets underway. Speaking after the Three Lions’ defeat to Iceland, Southgate said: “There are a lot of players whose minutes we are managing who have had a break since the end of the club season where you are trying to refresh them but they are out of rhythm.

“It was obviously a disjointed and disappointing performance and we didn’t show enough character. Actually I think it is a really good focus for us ahead of the tournament.
“Everybody is saying we are going to go there and walk through and have no problems and the reality of international football isn’t that. We have got to be far better without the ball than we were today and then we have to show more composure.”
England have already got their journey to Germany underway after leaving St George’s Park on Monday. Ahead of that, they were given a rousing speech by Prince William.
“Guys, I was thinking on the way here, what could I say that could help?” the President of the Football Association said. “I was on the school run with the children and I said, ‘what should I say to the England team?’.
“The best bit of advice I got was to eat twice the amount you would normally eat. I then had visions of you all running around with massive tummies and stitches on the pitch. Maybe take my youngest’s advice with a pinch of salt.
“Tournament football is a big deal. All of you have had fantastic seasons, I’ve seen every single one of you play this season, you’ve done extremely well. Club football is now here, tournament football over here. As some of you know, tournament football is brutal and it requires a lot more than you’ve already give. You’ve had a long season and I’m going to ask you to go again.
“It’s going to be difficult, going to be fun, going to be challenging. It’s going to be everything you ever dreamed of wearing an England shirt. All of the experience you’ve had in club football, you’re going to need them in the back of your head to draw from.
“The biggest thing I’ve learned from coming and seeing you guys over the years, every England dressing room I’ve been into – the togetherness. What Gareth has instilled in you over the years, I really feel you’re a unit, you fight for each other, you play for each other, and you really care about putting that shirt on.
“I just want you guys to know how much it means to everyone back here that you go out there, give it your all, play for your shirt, play for each other, play for your country because everyone is behind you and really care about what you’re going to do.
“You need to know also, the England team has a target on its back. Everyone wants to beat us. You guys have all the talent in the world, you’re a great squad, talent alone won’t win us the tournament. Whatever you can do, draw on those experiences in other parts of your life, growing up, other inspirations, family members, whatever it is. Get that in you right now, build up on it, pump yourself up because you never know when you might need it.
“I wish you all the best. I’ll be watching every single game. I won’t say what I do at home, there’s media in the room, but we get very much into it. Best of luck guys.”

England fans who want to support their team but aren’t keen on wearing traditional football shirts can still mark the tournament in style. M&S is the official tailor of the England squad for the Euros and has unveiled a new limited edition collection of men’s separates perfect for work and play to mark the occasion.
