Europe’s Highclere Names Scott Director of Racing

Must read

Successful European racehorse syndicator Highclere has named Emily Scott director of racing, effective Jan. 3.

Scott previously served as Highclere’s assistant racing manager from 2014-2017 and in the years since then worked as communications manager for group 1-winning trainer Roger Varian and racing manager for Amo Racing Limited.

“I am delighted to be returning to Highclere to lead the racing team,” Scott said. “I look forward to working closely with the trainers to get the most out of the horses and providing their owners with an unparalleled experience in racehorse ownership.”

A Highclere release said Scott’s wealth of experience along with her passion for horse racing make her a hugely exciting addition to the management team.

“I am so excited to have Emily back with us here at Highclere in her new role as director of racing,” said Highclere chairman and managing director Harry Herbert. “She already knows our business intimately but following her time with Roger Varian and Amo Racing she returns with an even greater knowledge of the industry and especially racehorse management.”
