A HUGE new interactive water attraction is coming to Europe this summer, with slides and cinematic features creating a whole new environment for families to enjoy.
The brand new indoor park will be home to eight massive slides, including the likes of Spiral, a “whirlwind of sensations” with a quadruple twist, and Rocket, a 400ft free fall.
Families can even ride some of ride the slides together, like Matrix, which has a four-person inflatable raft that travels through whirlpools on its course from top to bottom.
When it opens, the park will be known as Aquascope and it will be found at Futuroscope in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, France.
It’s set to officially launch on July 15 and looks to have a number of unique features in store for guests.
Included in those will be Europe‘s first aquatic cinema, which promises to “take you to the heart of the wave” and let you “swim in a fantastic, colourful world of video mapping”.
It will be known as Les Abysses de Lumière, and “will whisk visitors away into a spellbindingly immersive universe,” according to Moment Factory who are working with the park on the project.
They added: “The immersive experience features multiple zones to discover, including the ‘Crique’, a mysterious cove inhabited by fantastic and uncanny wildlife and plant life.
“There will also be interactive beaches brimming with bioluminescent particles, and an Aquaciné where visitors can learn more about Kraki, a creature from another world.”
Alexandre Lupien, Creative Director at Moment Factory said: “We’re proud to be working with Futuroscope on this project, which pushes the boundaries in the world of indoor waterparks.
“We’re always looking to provide visitors with the ultimate experience, and with the team at Futuroscope we’ve created Les Abysses de Lumière, a fully immersive space that is forever changing and bursting with surprises.”
More traditional waterpark elements will include its eight slides in total and a wave pool and as well as new modern rides that include gaming elements built into rubber rings and tube slides.
Elsewhere, there will be several kids’ attractions for young visitors, including a water maze, a musical cave and three octopus-themed slides called Kraki’s Tentacles.
Meanwhile, outside elements to the new park include The Aquadynamic, a river course that carries people around a circuit, a crystal clear outdoor lagoon and an outdoor beach with deckchairs, surrounded by greenery.
Families won’t go hungry on their visits to the park, with Kobalt offering sandwiches, salads, ice creams and smoothies.
Anyone wishing to go to Aquascope is told they must book in advance via the Futuroscope website.

Should the project eventually be given the green light, it would pave the way for the creation of Amber Rock, which would offer much more than just a waterpark.
The facility would also host guests overnight in a 152-bed hotel, 128 straw-bale lodges and 210 holiday apartments.
Meanwhile, this massive new waterpark will have submersible cars and four record-breaking slides when it opens next year.
