Gene Keady highlights from coaching Purdue
Gene Keady will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023. He coached Purdue basketball for 25 years.

The Purdue men’s basketball team improved to 2-0 on its summer European tour with a 92-57 victory over BG Hessing on Thursday in Munich, Germany.
Four Boilermakers scored in double digits with Myles Colvin putting up a team-high 16 points. The freshman guard made 5 of 9 shot attempts and went 3 for 5 from long distance.

Trey Kaufman-Renn and Camden Heide scored 15 points each. Kaufman-Renn added 8 rebounds on 7 of 9 shooting. Fletcher Loyer scored 13 points and added 4 assists. Braden Smith had a team-high 11 assists.
Purdue is without Zach Edey, who is playing for Team Canada in international action.
The Boilermakers led 21-12 after one quarter and 45-32 at halftime. Purdue outscored BG Hessing 27-8 in the fourth quarter. In its two wins so far, Purdue has won by a combined 52 points and has averaged 90 points per game.

Purdue made 32 of 65 shot attempts (49%) and went 12 of 30 from 3-point range (40%). The Boilermakers struggled from the free throw line, however, making just 16 of 28 shots (57%). Purdue had 13 turnovers and outrebounded BK, 37-26.
Up next, Purdue will travel to Austria to take on SKN St. Polten at 1 p.m. ET Friday.
