The NFL has staged 33 games in London since 2007 and will play three more in 2023 – two at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the only purpose-built NFL stadium outside of the USA, and one at Wembley Stadium. Following the inaugural NFL Germany game in Munich in 2022, the City of Frankfurt will host two international games at the Frankfurt stadium, home of Eintracht Frankfurt next season.
We are pleased to announce our Internship Programme for 2023. This unparalleled opportunity focuses on helping individuals from underrepresented and underserved communities to gain work experience and insights into the sports industry.
We are looking to fill 4 seven-month internships, starting in early August through to the end of the season in February. The internships will be full-time paid roles, based out of the NFL UK office in central London.
Candidates will be allocated to work across specific departments in Commercial, Marketing, Media, PR and Football Operations. They will explore and experience all aspects of the business of football through engaging project assignments, mentoring relationships, training and networking opportunities.

Throughout your internship we will ensure you have continuous development opportunities to help grow and improve your skills and to support you in your own personal growth.
This includes providing clear expectations through goal-setting and regular, constructive feedback; integrating learning opportunities into your daily work practices; and offering training programmes to including Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, Presentation & Impact Skills and Recruitment & CV Workshops. You will also be paired with a buddy who will support you throughout your internship journey, providing guidance, support and knowledge.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
The NFL strongly encourages individuals from underrepresented groups and diverse backgrounds of all types to apply. Applicants should be 18-24 years of age at time of internship and legally permitted to work in the UK. If selected for the programme, applicants must be available for the start of the programme in August 2023.
- Completed GCSE education
- Some prior work experience is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Forward-thinking and able to suggest new ideas
- Proactive with a creative mind
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Interest in working in professional sports
- Good timekeeping, time management and a positive work ethic
- Comfortable to adapt to a different environment and work collaboratively

The shortlisted candidates will be contacted by 12th June to complete an online interview screening and if successful move to the final interview stage, where they will be required to attend a recruitment day on 27th June in central London.
