The European Union’s three main political groups have come to an agreement on who will hold the bloc’s top jobs, three officials told CNBC, leading to disgruntlement from some lawmakers on the Continent.

The sources could only speak anonymously because of the sensitivity of discussions. The appointments have yet to be formally confirmed.
