Jalgaon BSNL will upgrade to FTTH – Times of India

Must read

Nashik: The Jalgaon division of state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has decided to upgrade its landline-based broadband to Fibre to the Home (FTTH). BSNL officials said that they are upgrading these old landline-based broadbands to optical fibre cable lines, as maintaining the current lines is not affordable. “Most of the time, the cables of the landlines are disconnected due to construction works or other road works. The maintenance costs for FTTH lines are much lower compared to that of landlines,” said BSNL officials. They further said they have set the target of upgrading all the 8,000 landline connections to FTTH during the next three to four months. The upgrade to FTTH will provide high-speed internet services to BSNL customers.
