James Martin cooking travel shows picked up in Central and Eastern Europe

James Martin’s Spanish Adventure

Broadcasters including AMC Networks and Croatia’s HRT have picked up culinary travelogue shows fronted by British chef James Martin.

James Martin’s Spanish Adventure has been picked up by AMC Networks Central & Northern Europe in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Moldova and Romania, and by Polish broadcaster Canal+ Polska.

HRT has bought James Martin’s American Adventure as well as A Cook Abroad, which follows various celebrity chefs as they travel to other countries to discover new recipes.

The deals have been sealed by London-based distributor DCD Media Rights. Other HRT acquisitions from DCD include Cumbria: The Lakes & The Coast, Tiny Islands and Treasures with Bettany Hughes season two.

HRT has also picked up the live television special Christmas at Graceland, which features many of music’s biggest stars.

In Poland, MWE Networks has acquired Aussie Gold Hunters season four and BBC Studios has picked up Scottish Islands with Ben Fogle season two.

In total, more than 100 hours of factual and music programming has been acquired following deals brokered by DCD Media Rights sales manager James Anderson.
