Must read

European carrier KLM has released its summer schedule featuring increased flight frequencies across Europe and further afield, amounting to a 7 per cent increase in seat capacity compared to summer 2023.

The airline will serve 155 destinations this summer – 92 in Europe and 63 intercontinental – and see the extent of its overall schedule “almost matching pre-Covid levels”.

In Europe, increased frequencies include daily services to Billund (Denmark) and Stavanger (Norway), while UK cities Edinburgh, Newcastle, Glasgow and Southampton will also benefit from more
flights.

Elsewhere across the continent, frequencies will be increased to Krakow, Gdansk and Wroclaw in Poland, Prague in the Czech Republic and Bologna, Florence and Genoa in Italy.

Intercontinental destinations that will benefit from increased frequencies include Jakarta in combination with Kuala Lumpur and Denpasar in combination with Singapore. Flight frequencies will also be increased to Taipei, Hong Kong, Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles.

KLM has also resumed direct flights to Japan’s Osaka and will be resuming its daily service to Tokyo Narita.

From 1 April the carrier will resume a daily service to Tel Aviv, which until at least 19 May will include a stopover in Larnaca. The airline says it is closely monitoring the security situation in Israel.

KLM’s summer schedule runs from March 31 until October 26, 2024.
