Spain-based NH Hotel Group is to be renamed as Minor Hotels Europe & Americas, although its NH Hotels and NH Collection brands will keep their current names.

NH Hotel Group, which has been part of Minor Hotels since 2018, said the name change “strengthens its integration” with its parent company as Minor focuses on global growth, including the opening of around 50 new properties in Europe.

Minor Hotels, which is headquartered in Bangkok, currently operates eight global brands: Anantara, Avani, Elewana Collection, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow, Oaks Hotels and Tivoli.

Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels, said: “Adopting the Minor Hotels Europe & Americas name represents an important milestone in how Minor Hotels has become a globally recognised organisation, now under one corporate identity.

“Together, our Minor Hotels team’s shared passion and relentless pursuit of excellence will be instrumental in unlocking new business opportunities to achieve our ambitious growth targets in the coming years.”

Since becoming part of Minor Hotels, NH’s brands have expanded into new markets in Asia, Middle East and Indian Ocean, while Minor’s Anantara, Avani and Tivoli brands have opened properties in Europe and the Americas.

The renamed Minor Hotels Europe & Americas is planning to add properties across all market segments, including a target of more than 50 new hotels in Europe by the end of 2026.
