EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern men’s basketball team has announced that it will be participating in a foreign tour this summer, with stops in Italy and Greece. The Wildcats are scheduled to play in three exhibition games during the 10-day trip, which is set for Aug. 20-30.
The ‘Cats will visit Venice, Florence and Athens with game dates and opponents to be announced at a later date.
The NCAA allows teams to conduct a foreign tour once every four years, with Northwestern making its first trip since visiting France and Italy in 2019.
Last season, Northwestern finished third in the Big Ten Conference, tying a single-season school-record by winning 12 games in conference play. Under the leadership of Sullivan-Ubben Head Men’s Basketball Coach Chris Collins, the ‘Cats reached the NCAA Tournament’s Second Round for the second straight season and finished with a 22-12 record.
