Ryanair adds extra seats and new routes to Europe from 6 UK airports

Ryanair is adding a host of flights, and more seats, from airports including Birmingham. In all, there are 11 new routes and it is all thanks to the European Championships in Germany.

The budget airline has added an extra 11,000 seats to accommodate the increased demand around the Euro football matches. Temporary new routes have also been launched due to growing demand, departing from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.




These flights will operate ahead of Scotland v Germany in Munich on June 14, England v Serbia in Gelsenkirchen on June 16, Scotland v Switzerland in Cologne on 19 June, England v Denmark in Frankfurt on June 20, Scotland v Hungary in Stuttgart on June 23 and England v Slovenia in Cologne on June 25.

Here are Ryanair’s additional flights:

  1. Birmingham – Dortmund (new route).
  2. Birmingham – Frankfurt (new route).
  3. Birmingham – Cologne (new route).
  4. Bristol – Frankfurt (new route).
  5. Bristol – Cologne (new route).
  6. Edinburgh – Memmingen (new route).
  7. Edinburgh – Cologne (new route).
  8. Edinburgh – Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (new route).
  9. Glasgow – Memmingen (new route).
  10. Glasgow to Cologne (new route).
  11. London Stansted – Frankfurt (additional capacity).
  12. London Stansted – Cologne (additional capacity).
  13. Manchester – Frankfurt (new route).
  14. Manchester – Cologne (additional capacity).

Ryanair has added over 11,000 extra seats between Germany and the UK throughout June, including extra capacity on existing routes as well as the addition of several special one-off flights.

This includes Edinburgh to Memmingen, Bristol to Frankfurt and Glasgow to Cologne ensuring that all fans can cheer on their team from a stadium seat and soak in the match-day atmosphere.
