SNCF Voyageurs’ low-cost, high-speed service OUIGO, which operates in France and Spain, is now available to book via Sabre and Trainline following two separate distribution deals, however the latter is restricted to travel management companies based in France.
Sabre now offers OUIGO Essentiel content (basic fares that include one reserved seat and luggage) to connected agencies worldwide via its Sabre Rail 2.0 channel, with plans to add OUIGO Plus content (which includes amenities such as extra luggage, seat selection and on-board wifi) “in the future”.
The move follows the recent renewal of a 25-year distribution agreement between Sabre and the French rail operator.
FrĂ©dĂ©ric Laurent-Miel, director of enterprises and agencies at SNCF Voyageurs, said: “We are delighted to strengthen our cooperation with Sabre to continuously enhance train travel in France. Making OUIGO Essentiel available on Sabre’s platform is a significant step in optimising the provision of our low-cost services to travellers. Sabre has been an invaluable ally in helping us achieve our goals of making train travel more accessible and efficient.”
In a separate deal with Trainline Partner Solutions, OUIGO France tickets are now accessible to the French market through a direct API connection. Ten France-based TMCs now offer OUIGO France content via Trainline, including Navan, TravelPerk, Swile Travel and Fairjungle.
CĂ©dric Dufour, European sales manager at Trainline Partner Solutions, said: “With this new integration, we now cover all the carriers operating on the French market. Thanks to OUIGO’s wide range of products and fares, we believe this wider choice will influence companies’ travel policies and make rail a more popular choice for business travellers.”
Trainline said its B2B arm will also integrate OUIGO Spain content “over the coming year”.
