Spanish media have claimed England will ‘suffer’ during the Euro 2024 final and believe the Three Lions are under ‘enormous pressure’ to triumph in the Berlin showpiece.

Newspapers in Spain are confident about the prospect of their team winning a ‘historic’ fourth European Championship title, which would take them clear of Germany for the outright record.

The Barcelona-based newspaper Sport highlighted the expectations for Spain and England as being a ‘big difference’ between the two sides in their preview for the final.

Sport claim that England ‘needs to win’ which has made the pressure ‘enormous’ on Gareth Southgate‘s side, while it states that Spain ‘just wants to win’.

The newspaper believes the Three Lions will suffer in central midfield, with Declan Rice and Kobbie Mainoo expected to struggle against their partnership of Rodri and Fabian Ruiz.

Sport stated that England have proven stars including Harry Kane, John Stones and Kyle Walker, as well as the ‘fascinating talents like Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka‘.

Despite the talent in the England side, the Three Lions have ‘no chemistry’ in attack, according to the newspaper, which also noted Southgate’s team have been criticised for their ‘stingy style of play’.

The website brutally said ‘Kane never wins anything’ in a headline, having fallen short in previous attempts to lift a trophy with England and his clubs.

Sport newspaper Marca leads its coverage of the final with the headline ‘And for the fourth’, noting Spain’s bid to add to their European Championship wins in 1964, 2008 and 2012.
