Suggestion player could ditch Brighton due to no European football – Low transfer fee floated – Sport Witness

Eintracht Frankfurt are keen on signing Brighton & Hove Albion’s Pascal Gross in the summer window.

Four days ago, Bild said the 32-year-old is aware that there’s great interest from Eintracht Frankfurt, and that he will decide on his future after the Euros.

The Germany international has publicly talked about his desire to return to his country, and he reiterated it on Wednesday, when asked about his future at Brighton.

Thursday’s edition of Bild says Eintracht Frankfurt continue to wait for the midfielder’s final decision on whether or not he’ll join them.

The German club have qualified for the Europa League, and without any major exits, they are only focusing on bolstering the midfield, where the Brighton player has been identified as the priority target.

It’s claimed Gross could play at the highest level at this stage of his career, if he were to join Eintracht Frankfurt.

The deal initially seemed unrealistic for Eintracht Frankfurt, but it’s stated the move would be more attractive for Gross after Brighton missed out of the European competition.

Bild say Eintracht Frankfurt would be able to meet the Seagulls player’s valuation of €5m.

Gross hasn’t yet made a final decision, but Bild suggest Brighton’s failure to qualify for Europe could convince him to return to Germany after the Euros.
