Blackpool Sands in Devon has been crowned Europe’s cleanest beach, with four other UK beaches also featuring in the top 15.
The rankings were compiled by Fastest Payout Casinos, who analysed TripAdvisor reviews and data from World50beaches to determine the most pristine coastal spots across Europe.
Blackpool Sands stood out for its crystal-clear waters and tranquil vibe, earning high praise from visitors for its spotlessness.
One TripAdvisor review highlighted: “A gorgeous clean beach to relax on. The staff running it were really lovely and welcoming both in the car park and the cafe. Nice clean toilets that had classical music piped in (first time for me! ). The beach and the cafe are a short walk from the carpark which is great if you have mobility issues.”
Another reviewer was impressed by the cleanliness, saying: “Very clean beach with clear water, private beach and you can tell even the bins were clean! Spent the day there, parking on site and toilets. Nice food place too. Absolutely a place to visit on a nice hot day and if in the area.”
Fistral Beach in Newquay claimed the second spot, with its cleanliness being a standout feature in one in five TripAdvisor reviews.
A visitor described Fistral Beach as: “Gorgeous beach for a walk. Swimmers and surfers hanging here so busy. Lifeguards in attendance too. Spotlessly clean beach with a breeze. Food and toilets also available with restaurants and take away options.”
And it wasn’t just a victory for one nation – Wales’s West Shore Beach and England’s Porthcurno Beach made impressive entries at eighth and ninth place, while Scotland also celebrated with Luskentyre Beach in the Outer Hebrides securing 15th spot.
A spokesperson for fastestpayoutonlinecasino.com remarked on the results: “It’s a credit to England to be able to occupy the top two spots. Having three entries demonstrates that tourists’ perspectives about England aren’t always right.”
They added, “Even more so when considering the weather is often not summer-friendly at this time of year, the beaches remain clean and tidy.”
