Screen International Star of Tomorrow 2020, Anya Chalotra, is perhaps best known for her role as Yennefer of Vengerberg in Netflix’s global sensation, The Witcher. She was the standout star of the first three seasons, opposite Henry Cavill and Freya Allan.
Upcoming projects include feature Two Neighbours, opposite Chloe Cherry and Ralph Ineson, sci-fi animation New-Gen alongside Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard, and Zack Snyder’s anime prequel Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas with Christian Slater, Vanessa Hudgens, and Nolan North.
In 2021, she starred in the audio adaptation of The Cipher for BBC Sounds. Further credits include the YouTube original series Sherwood (2019), The ABC Murders (2018), and Wanderlust (2018).
In addition to her television work, Anya has an impressive on-stage portfolio, most recently starring as ‘Zula’ in the original stage adaptation of Pawel Pawlikowski’s academy-award nominated film Cold War, written by Conor McPherson and directed by Rupert Goold at the Almeida Theatre, with music by Elvis Costello. Further stage credits include Peter Gynt at the National Theatre, The Village at the Theatre Royal Stratford East (2018), and Much Ado About Nothing at The Globe (2017), as well as fifteen productions at the Guildhall.
