Viaplay Xtra to broadcast European Cricket Championship beginning September 25th

The Dream11 European Cricket Championship (ECC) begins this Monday September 25th with all games available free on Viaplay Xtra.

The tournament is set to feature a total of 31 teams including an England XI, Scotland XI, Ireland XI, Jersey, Isle of Man and Guernsey divided into six groups of five teams each, with the winners of each group qualifying for Championship Week.

The opening games get underway on Monday morning at 10.30am live on Viaplay Xtra as Spain play France followed by Isle of Man and Czechia at 1pm with Greece and Spain at 3pm.

The ECC has become one of the most anticipated T10 tournaments in the world, and rightfully so. The tournament brings together some of the best cricketing nations from Europe, giving them a platform to showcase their talent and compete at the highest level.

The defending champions, Netherlands XI, have automatically qualified for Championship Week. The first edition of the tournament was played in 2021 with 15 teams participating, and last year, the tournament had 21 teams.

The European Cricket Championship adds to a huge list of cricket content Viaplay Xtra has broadcast this year including the T20 Bangladesh Premier League, T10 European Cricket League, T20 Fairbreak International, T20 Africa Cup and more.

Viewers can watch Viaplay Xtra on Sky channel 420, Virgin channel number 553, Samsung TV Plus. The European Cricket Championship is also available on the Viaplay streaming service at available only to Viaplay streaming subscribers.
