The Washington Wizards defeated the Chicago Bulls on the road, notching their third consecutive victory, with former Real Madrid and Partizan player Tristan Vukcevic contributing six points.

He hit two triples, marking his first buckets in the NBA after recently arriving in the US capital.

I am truly happy for the coach’s trust in me. It was difficult in Europe, and now I have to completely change my playing style, considering that basketball is played differently here. That doesn’t pose a problem for me; for now, I’m taking it day by day, and the more I play, the better I’ll become,” Vukcevic spoke to RTS after his second appearance in the Wizards uniform.

Washington selected him as the 42nd pick in the previous NBA draft but left him with the Serbian team, where he was tied with a contract. However, midway through the season, pretty suddenly, the Wizards decided to pay the compensation, which was split between Partizan and Real Madrid, and bring Tristan into their ranks.

It was a well-paid compensation to Partizan. That was my decision. I wanted to come here. I don’t know what the plan is for the future; I’m taking it day by day. I’ve been doing this my whole life; it’s not a problem for me to quickly adapt to the system. I love playing basketball. The more I’m on the court, the better it is for me,” Vukcevic concluded.
