Wahoo Fitness is strengthening its sales activities in Southeast Europe with a dedicated Territory Manager. Krisztian Czech will now be responsible for the brand in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia.
“Wahoo pursues a multi-level sales concept in Europe, working partly with distributors, but in many areas there is reliance on a direct dealer approach,” explained Kevin Abt, Head of Sales at Wahoo Fitness. “In the area of Southeastern Europe, we have so far lacked a little bit of assertiveness and also market knowledge.
“We are pleased to have now closed this gap with Krisztian. He is an industry and sports expert, who will represent and implement the Wahoo brand directly at the specialized IBD level through his know-how, his independent and creative work and his long-standing brand loyalty – in addition to his language skills.
“Logistically, the Southeast European specialist retailers will also be supplied with goods directly from the Wahoo logistics centre in the Netherlands. This system has proven itself,” Abt added.

Krisztian Czech was born in Budapest in 1972 and grew up in the Rhine-Main area in Germany. A skateboarder and snowboarder from the very beginning, he founded his first streetwear fashion label with friends right after school.
Contacts from the fashion industry brought the dedicated MTB cyclist and triathlete to the Berliner Fahrradschau, where he built up a network in the bicycle industry as brand curator and Head of Sales. He then used this as a consultant for sporting events and brand building.
Prior to his latest cooperation with Wahoo, he worked as a marketing/sales consultant for companies such as Urban Cycles, VELO Berlin, Berliner Fahrradschau and SIX DAYS BERLIN.
“For some time now, I have been travelling to my old home country from time to time for Wahoo as well. We took a close look at the market and finally we worked out a promising plan,” said Krisztian Czech. “I have always been a migratory bird. Somehow, it’s in my blood.
“I come home super excited and look forward to my wife and children – but after a few days I’m pulled out again. During my travels my wife looks after the office at home and supports me where she can. So basically I work in a family business,” he added.
